2017 Cabaret for a Cause

Thank you to all the musicians, students and former Act Up cast members who helped CabaretForACause2017.jpg

make Act Up’s Cabaret for a Cause a wonderful evening of entertainment and the personal stories of immigration.  The event was a benefit for the Lutheran Social Services Refugee Resettlement program.  Musical selections were connected to the theme of “Home”, and area high school student immigrants shared pieces of their stories from the book “Green Card Youth Voices: Immigration Stories From A Fargo High School”.

The video features comments from Act Up Artistic Director Rebecca Meyer-Larson and cast members from “American Idiot”!
