Natalie Novacek, Resident Director
Natalie is a freelance director based in Minneapolis and has received critical acclaim for her productions in the Minneapolis area, Florida, Texas and Massachusetts. She received her M.F.A. in Directing from the University of Texas at Austin and her B.A. in Theatre Arts from Minnesota State University Moorhead. She was a 2005 Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival National Selection Team Directing Fellow in Washington D.C. and a 2016-2017 Directing Fellow at Asolo Rep in Sarasota, FL. She is an alum of the Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab and the SDCF Observership Program. Natalie is a former teaching fellow for the University of Texas at Austin. She has directed for numerous community theaters and academic institutions, both at the high school and university level. She is a proud Associate Member of the Stage Director and Choreographers Society.
Mark Aamold, Producer/Production Manager
Mark is currently a teacher/theater director for Richland #44 Public School in Colfax, ND. He teaches band for 5th grade through 12th grade students, 7th through 12th grade choir, individual lessons for all grade levels and music appreciation. As theater director, Mark is the musical producer/music director and one act director. Mark is a graduate of North Dakota State University with a degree in Instrumental Music Education and a minor in Vocal Music Education.
Rebecca Meyer-Larson, Founder
Rebecca Meyer-Larson is an educator and theater director and is the founder of Act Up Theatre. Rebecca has collaborated with many theater organizations including: Fargo-Moorhead Community Theatre, Trollwood Performing Arts School, Perpich Center for Arts Education, MN State Arts Board, Hennepin Theatre Trust, the American High School Theatre Festival, Minnesota State High School League, Music Theater Fargo-Moorhead (The Last Five Years), and masterclasses with Jason Robert Brown (13: A New Musical), Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal (RENT).
Rebecca’s productions have been recognized for excellence by USA Today, Young Arts, Theater Live!, the Spotlight Musical Theater Awards, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where her productions have received multiple five star reviews. She is a two-time US Presidential Scholars Program award-winning teacher and a 4 diamond coach with the National Forensics League; however, her favorite creations are her children Sadie, Izzy, and Finn.
